Out of all the zones in this game, the Maze Zone is the most challenging. The maze is not randomly generated; it has been pre-programmed, with every encounter with each enemy having a specific time limit and a pre-defined strategy on how to defeat the enemy. Furthermore, the tutorial clearly explains the mechanics of the maze, describing how to escape it and how to defeat each enemy in it. Of course, a player can have a strategy completely different from what is shown in the tutorial and for those who are not willing to learn the basic mechanics, the maze will become a never-ending platformer, with randomly generated bosses becoming too much of a challenge. The difficulty level is not easy, but it is fair, and is designed to be challenging for all players.

The first layer in an essential part of the game is the Mothership.
Conclusion comes at the top, with as a blank canvas for exploration. When you make a mistake, theres no saving, so you have to start from the beginning again. Theres no half measures and as a consequence, theres no room for creativity or work-a-rounds. I love that. Youre being tested constantly in order to make sure you dont develop bad habits which might cost you an early and horrible death (see what I did there, haha). With Waves complicated menu system, you may find yourself staring at the wrong step for a bit before you realize that you were supposed to have done it last time.
Youre in a situation where there are multiple ways to complete a stage and there is something for everyone from casual to hardcore. If youre looking for a challenge and something to keep you company while youre waiting for a friend to finish then this is the game for you. If youve ever been a fan of Castlevania, then this is an awesome game. At times it can be slightly frustrating because you spend so long trying to open one door and when you finally do, you find theres no room to move in a certain area. Still, even this can be beneficial if you know what youre doing. Also, there are two additional modes where you can fight enemies solo or go online to challenge other players.
