On a post-graduate level, there are colossal resources online for beginners to advanced graphics designers. A little forum search will turn up countless free tutorials on using Photoshop as your primary tool.
Long-time database user trying to switch to Photoshop. Is there an analogue for “selection” that works in PS? I can’t seem to get past the point in the process where I typically should have an analogue of “selection” and it simply won’t respond. It’s a relatively minor part of my work flow, but I can’t move on without it. Finding the right combination of keyboard shortcuts to do it in the dark is more than half of the problem. Once I select that object, I have to be able to drag and resize it, etc. without breaking the integrity of the image and having to remake it almost entirely. I’m sure it’s possible to do it with old versions of PS in database mode, but it’s going to be a huge barrier for me, especially since I have to use the product for >10 years before getting to PS.
