its a huge phone, the best yet for nokia. first class build quality, something that has been lacking for a while. do not expect it to work with 3g as a matter of course, but there are clearly enough 3g chips to make it work at least in some countries.
i have 2.3.5 and there are no problems at all. for those with custom firmware, read the info about 3g support at nokianetworks.com. updating the firmware is straightforward and the phone actually boots much faster than the other nokias with similar firmware.
it is based on symbian and therefore has a touchscreen that requires you to touch the screen with your fingers, or use some sort of stylus. i use a cheap 2gb sd card for data storage, and don’t need to move the memory around at all. i also use the original sim, and have a p2p module, which works very well and is very reliable. it also has a huge battery, which i can leave on all the time, and easily last for the week.

i have a symbian 9.3.0.0 device which has been purchased in brazil, (which has a 3g network, but not the 3g network from operator vodafone) and i can confirm that it is working perfectly fine under 3g.
i have used my nokia 808 pureview for a while now and its just awesome. i have not used any of the 3g networks but as someone stated before, it will work on the 3g networks. i would recommend it to anyone who wants to buy a high end symbian smartphone, especially those who want to use the pureview camera.
